Lazy Tuesday curry in a can.

There are some days when I just don't want to bother cooking. Okay, who am I kidding, there are plenty of days like those! We are eating way too much take-away and I am blaming it on our crappy kitchen, but really that's just an excuse for my laziness.

Cheeky curry in a can
I made a decision this week that we would make more of an effort to cook at home. We have such a 'spur of the moment' type existence that I never pre-plan a menu for the week, or even decide what we will eat before dinner time! This is clearly part of the reason that we aren't cooking at home. I love cooking and I am actually rather good at it, so all the more reason to do it, right?

But, there's still the laziness factor. That's not going anywhere, so I figured a few low effort options in the cupboard wouldn't go astray. I don't usually go for pre-prepared jars or cans when cooking so we took a gamble on this Ayam Green Curry. It's actually really good!

Voila! Quick and easy curry
Michael actually preferred it to the last green curry I made from scratch- guess I won't waste my time with making if from raw ingredients again! As easy as; pour the contents of the can in to a saucepan, add diced chicken, simmer for about 10 minutes, add a few fresh veggies and a handful of coriander to simmer for another few minutes, serve on rice. Can't go wrong!

  1. Ooooh, I will have to give it a try!

Gotta love a lazy / easy meal :-)

We have found a supermarket butter chicken base that is delicious, but I cant remember the name! Its in a yellow tetra pack thing.

  2. Ooh I saw this in Costco the other day - glad to hear positive things, may check them out in future.

  3. Hey that's exactly where I got it! Costco is rad :)

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment!
