Concrete Polishing Phase 2...sort of.

So the concrete polishing was finished yesterday and we weren't allowed to walk on it for 24 hours. This afternoon we had to cover the floor with protective fabric and corflute to protect it for the rest of the building process.

Protecting the floor

We were keen to get that out of the way when we got home from work, and in the rush I forgot to take a picture. So silly! I can't believe I forgot to take a picture of the finished floor. After an hour of laying the floor protection we weren't about to rip it up so I could get a picture. Sorry to those of you who were waiting to see it, we'll all have to wait until the interior is finished now!

  1. So, did they polish out the initials you carved into the concrete?

  3. No! It should be under the framing, so out of sight, but still in existence.
    Sweet.

  4. Cant wait to see it!

We have some friends with polished concrete throughout and it looks awesome.

It will be a great surface to live on with your slab heating in winter, and lovely and cool in summer :-)
